Will a Apple Store Carrier Free T-Mobile iPhone 6 Purchase work with an AT&T SIM?

Going the full retail price route. Needed for AT&T. Just reserved with the Apple store App to go pick it up in an hour. Only full retail price option was by t mobile. But they're sure to be a compatible no?

I'm coming from an S4 Galaxy phone. Will the sim from that easily pop into the new iPhone 6 or must I visit AT&T for they to voodoo info between new sims?
 
You'll need a nano sim for the iPhone.

Any full price att tmobile Verizon iPhone 6 is unlocked from the apple store.
 
You can also just walk into an AT&T store and get a nano SIM.

I've seen reports of needing a newer version SIM for the 6 anyway, not sure why though.

The newer sim is for the apple pay abilities I believe.
