will a Jailbroken Iphone3g be Unlocked later on ?

Hi every one...

I really want to jailbreak my iphone 3g now..my only concern is that once a software unlock becomes available , would there be any problem if one has jailbroken before ? To me , unlocking is more important as I travel internationally and really need the internet ...

Would appreciate your feedback..
