Will a livestream in Safari buffer and save?

I can't watch the keynote live, but I will be using my computer. If I play the livestream and just minimize Safari, does it buffer and save (as long as you don't close Safari) when it's over so that I can just drag the progress indicator back to the left and watch it kind of like a YouTube video?
