I found these two photos on the Apple website of the Magic Keyboard. I suspect they would be the same. One is Pinyin and the other is Zhuyin.

I could ask my friend in China if she still has her MacBook but it’s night time there so she’s asleep.

awesome, i bought the laptop from a seller in china, no longer need it and want to re-sell it here in the states. [tariff situation made it easier for me to just keep it and settle with the seller] but, I never even THOUGHT of the keyboard situation till a potential buyer said something. i don't want to open it either.

I would love to see what it is

I talked to my friend and she doesn’t even have a Mac lol. She has a Windows laptop with just a standard QWERTY keyboard. It works just fine to type in Chinese. I’m barely learning to speak it. Maybe one day I’ll get brave and learn how to type it lol.

From looking up online, if it’s from mainland China, it likely has a Pinyin keyboard like the one in this photo. If the region was changed to the USA, it’s going to be no different than just a regular QWERTY keyboard with the caps lock key looking a little weird 😂

It might hurt the selling price because if someone’s in the USA and there are two equally priced MacBooks, they’re likely going to pick up the one with the keyboard they know. Of course it’s possible you could find someone looking for that keyboard. If you’re in the USA, there are quite a few people from China here.
