iPod touch Will a restore help my battery situation?

Will a restore help my battery situation? My battery does not last half a day. I'm running 4.2.1 on an early 3G model. brightness set at 50%, bluetooth off, 5 min auto-lock, email fetch off, notifications off. Any ideas or thoughts?

Guess it would depend on what you are using your iPod Touch now. If it is just listening to music then it should last at least a day but if you are using it to play games or surf the web, it should last several hours. Games tend to drain the battery quite fast.
