Will a spare battery for an old MacBook Pro work in a new MacBook Pro?

I purchased a new 15" MacBook Pro in early 2007 and purchased an extra battery. I'm contemplating upgrading to a new MacBook Pro. Will the extra battery work in the new MackBook Pro as well?
