Will a USB WiFi adaptor work with Time Capsule etc?

Airport seems to have stopped working on my iBook G4 (it only detects networks intermittently).

If I buy a USB WiFi adaptor, will the iBook still backup wirelessly to my Time Capsule and share (screen and file) with the other Mac in the house?

Yes. Most USB adapters are not Mac compatible, though, so read the packaging carefully.
