Will Airport Extreme Work Here?

I have a new Macbook and a Dell desktop (XP) in my home, and I would like to network them so I can roam with the Macbook. The Airport Extreme seems to be the fastest wireless I can find, but will it work with the PC?
Ideally I would like to set the AE up at the desktop with the Comcast modem. Will this work? Thanks
