iPad mini Will American Expres Purchase protection cover dropped iPad Mini with Cracked screen?

Hey everyone,

Have a quick question. I accidently Dropped my ipad mini at church last night and the screen cracked but it still turns on. So, my question is I bought it on the 30th of last month with my American express card and was wondering if anyone knows if their 90 day purchase protection will cover accidental damage like a drop or do I just put it on Ebay and see what I can get for it? Yes they will cover accidents (drops etc.) and theft for 90 days, and extend the warranty for an additional year. Log on or call American Express to start the claim.

Yea, I had mine covered by them. They refunded the full purchase price within 2 days. Just have the day it Cracked, date of purchase, and total Exact amount.

That would be the point behind purchase protection, wouldn't it.

Most people also don't realize that it also applies to their prepaid card, so if you're planning on purchasing with cash or some other card, it's worth getting a prepaid Amex.
