I was wondering if I took my macbook pro to an Apple store along with the third party ram if they would install it for me. I wouldn't mind having to pay 50$ to get them to install it. Do you think they would install third party ram at all?
No, I don't think they will. However, it is a suuuper easy process. Directions should have come with your MacBook in the tiny book (maybe called "Everything Mac"?) and I'm sure that you will be able to find some tutorials on YouTube without much trouble.
That's about as genius as spending $50 for someone to refill your washer fluid. It can't be simpler. On the older MacBooks, you take the battery out, take off 3 screws and put the module(s) in. Someone with a newer one will have to tell you how on those, but RAM installation prices are the biggest ripoffs (or best profit-providers) anybody will ever charge.
