Will an auto-reply SMS app ever be accepted?

I know (at least I think I know) that there is no such app, but it makes me mad that Blackberry, Windows Mobile, and even Android have an app where you can set an auto reply SMS message to go to everyone who registers as a missed call. This could be so useful!

Do you think it'd ever happen?

(Yes I know iBlacklist and MCleaner are available on the jailbroken phones)
