Will an watchOS 10 still work with iOS 18?

Hello,
So I have an apple watch 5, that is not getting the watchOS 11. The question I have is, will it still work if I upgrade my iphone 12 pro (that is geting the iOS 18) to iOS 18?

I don't know if I can use to different version os on the watch and on the iPhone. Is it a requierement, or can I use (with all the functions like notifications, fitness, phonecalls etc) an watchOS 10 with an iOS 18?
