i will not download any app from the app store for free or otherwise. Fart apps I could live with out but now with the latest app store deletions I can no longer subscribe. What are they thinking?

I voted for #2

I have no use for that App that was recently declined, so it doesn't bother me. It's Apple's App store, and it sounds like they're letting 99%+ of Apps through. I see no reason for me to boycott the App store.

LAWL

It's not your job as a consumer to boycott Apple because developers are getting all in a huff, it developers want a word with apple they'll have a word with apple, and I'm sure a new system will be setup that will be much fairer, but boycotting the App Store, that's just plain silly now isn't it.

Good luck with your crusade, I'd put on your wellys, I hear the wasteland-a-comin' ;)

An app that allows you to download podcasts directly to your phone That is what made me write this. Can you do that now?

in short NO. I enjoy some of the apps way too much. to name a few
Sportacular
simplify
parlingo
iprocastinate
baseball
now playing
NETSHARE!
and Shazam

If you have that big of a problem just JB and use poof app to hide the appstore. That way you won't have to support the appstore LOL :p

Personally, I am sick of reading about this particular app being rejected.

Why are there threads about this one dang App all over the place? Surely it's not the first "useful" App to be rejected.

Wow.

Firstly, it's their store. You have no right, nor power to boycott something that Apple already announced they'd do.

Secondly, boycotting an online app store? Come on, aren't there more pressing issues than that? You seem like a spoiled child who needs to realize how well he has it, instead of throwing a fit for any and every thing that goes wrong.

it's apple's store and it is fully within their perogative to sell whatever apps they want to, regardless of their perceived usefulness.

in fact, i don't think apple even needs to explain to us why they did include or exclude an app. however, i would say if apple's app approval process hinges on a single employee making such approval/rejection decisions with no clear "rules" or "guidelines" or if there is enough of a "grey" area where decisions can be subjectively made as opposed to objectively, at the very least apple should have some sort of escalation or appeals process that developers of rejected apps can follow for a second look at their app.

Yes, I will boycott buying any future useful apps that are declined!

If there's Apps on it I like... then I'm gonna download it. If they don't have it, I'll download it on Cydia.

While I do disagree with others that say you are not within your rights to boycott, I will not be joining you. If anybody should be boycotting, it should be the developers (and some do). A consumer boycott won't really get the message through, especially considering...well...you couldn't organise it big enough.

so have you downloaded any apps since you made this thread?

I enjoy the App store. If they were being really unfair, like only letting 20% of the apps go through, I would think about it, especially because the app store would be kind of dull.
