Hello,

As I am soon going to purchase a new iPhone I thought about taking in my old first generation iPod touch to my nearest Apple Store to recycle. It is jailbroken with the OpeniBoot exploit - does anyone know whether they would accept it or not?

Surely if it is being melted down to make more iDevices then they wouldn't really be bothered about the state of the OS...

Thanks in advance.
Alex

Before handing it over to them for recycling, just restore the iPod using iTunes. If you can't do that, they will still take it.

iTunes doesn't recognise it because it doesn't get far enough in the boot phase...guess I will take it and see if they say yes or no.
