Will apple allow 3rd parties to access the built in GPS on AW2 at some point?

I use runtastic as my running tracker but I still need to carry my phone with me as runtastic still uses the iPhone for GPS.

I was going to use apple activities app to track and transfer to runtastic (and Strava) using RunGap, but apple activities doesn't allow RunGap to access or export location data.

Have apple said anything about this? Seems like it would be a good idea?

Cheers

Yes, 3rd party apps will have access to GPS soon. Just not sure when we'll start seeing them use it.

They have access now .. they just are slow getting updated apps released. There is an app from Pear Sports that uses the Series 2 GPS ... but thus far it's the only one available sadly.
