Will Apple and AT&T sites go down just before launch?

I wonder if the websites for Apple and AT&T will both go down right before the launch window starts so they can upgrade them?
 
Since it is now two minutes to midnight and the site has not gone down, I am guessing that we are not going to get to start ordering at 12. Bummer.

Two minutes from midnight for you maybe, but not on the west coast, which is the time Apple goes by...
