iPod touch Will apple bump out 8gb in the 4th gen?

I have to know this immediately:
Will apple bump out the 8gb to have only 32 64 and maybe 128gb? If it is like that will they also bring back 16gb? I have to know because I probably won't be able to buy the 32gb.

Starting today, educational customers that buy any Apple computer get an 8gb iPod touch for free (with rebate). This seems to indicate (to me) that they're trying to clear the shelves of 8gb.
That being said, the special is running through September, so I highly, highly doubt there will be an iPod Touch refresh before then (but probably soon after).
The discount applies to all iPods so if you really want to be cynical about it, you can say they're trying to clear the shelves of all current-gen iPods.
The new ipod wont come out until after sept 7th. I wouldnt be surprised if the 8 gb was knocked out... 8GB for 199 is pathetic. IMO the options will go like this
16 GB-199
32 GB-299
64 GB-399
Possible 128GB-449
16 GB-199
32 GB-299

the iPhone will probally be out a week or two after the keynote at&T employes are having the whole month of june blocked out for vac time same as before.
The free 3rd generation ipod with a mac promotion ends sept 7. Last year the 3G ipod touch was released after the promotion for the free 2G ended.
It's almost guaranteed they're not going to release a new touch before Sept 7th/the promotion ends. If they're trying to clear stock (which is, after all, the goal of this promotion), they won't hinder that effort by release a shiny new product.
Although this promo does apply to all current models of the touch, it's the 8GB they're really trying to push. You only find out about the other models in the fine print.
I'm guessing the 32GB is going to become the bottom-end, with the 64 in the middle. Something is going to occupy the top, whether that be a 128, or something even better/cooler.

Since 16g is entry level ipad, iPhone itouch will use same as the processors will be same as is already leaked. Battery will be same as ipad which will support high memory As has already been leaked. I'm guessing 80g will be top although I'd love 128. But I doubt it!

They've overlapped in past years. New iPods are simply excluded from the deal.
So it's possible that the new iPods will be released before September 7. But Apple likes to release new products on Tuesdays, and since the 7th is the first Tuesday of the month, it will probably be released on the 7th or 14th.
