I'm just curious to see if apple are going to join in on the 3D party. Through 3D iPads to 3D iMacs who knows? But knowing apple this may be some time away before anything '3D' is announced.
What are your thoughts?

I'm hoping this fad dies out until holographic projection is perfected.
I'm hoping Steve views it as a "bag of hurt"

Ahh yes, holographic technologies may be some time away but definitely something to weap over in the hands of apple.

3D built into their computer displays? I doubt anytime soon, if ever.

Are there computers out there that have this right now?

Certainly. 3D has been around for years in niche applications like molecular modeling. For the vast majority of computer applications, however, 3D is a useful as the three-prong tuning fork.

Until 3D without wearing the funky glasses becomes mainstream, Apple will want to have nothing to do with it.
