Or should Apple forever keep the iPhone name ?
Both sounds good
But iphone has been used for so long it will be hard to replace it even tho everyone thought the Apple watch was going to be called the iWatch

It doesn't really seem like something that would matter one way or another to most.

Renaming the iPhone would crush a lot of people. Many people won't feel so important saying "I have an apple phone". So what.. I got an IPHONE.

Lets stick with iPhone. Whats next after the apple phone? Apple pad? Apple pod?

I really doubt that the majority really cares about the "importance" of the phone, especially these days (and if that's the case, then something changing that rather unrealistic attitude is probably a good thing anyway).

The consumer level Apple laptop before the MacBook models was called the iBook. The professional level desktop before the Mac Pro was called the Power Mac.

Apple has been known to switch their product names up, but they typically have a good reason for it.
