will apple produce a high end earphone or headphone?

I like apple in-ear headphone, great value, but as a hi-fi fan, I'd like to see apple produce a high end headphone or earphone, like 3, 5 or more speakers in each ear.

does anyone know if apple will plan to do that?

I don't think Apple cares about hi-fi. Why don't you check out Sennheiser or Ultimate Ears for some awesome headphones/earphones? Not everything in life has to have an Apple brand.

Yeah, Sennheiser's headphones are great. Also Skullcandy. They're expensive, but great quality.

apple iem is about as high end as they will get (I believe).

I mean we already know what they say about users (who will buy anything with an Apple logo).

But one would figure that the mass majority thinks the stock buds are good enough if not superior to all the ones on the shelf.

A small subset will enjoy the IEMs.

An even smaller subset will spring for third party IEMs (I have the UE-10s mah self). Many scoff at the price, the size, everything. Not enough diehards to make better iems profitable.
