Seeing as my iPhone was recently unlocked, my next move was to go ahead and try some different SIM cards in it to test the best LTE speed and coverage.

Long gone are the days where you have to drive around from place to place taking part in lengthy talks with sales associates to obtain a SIM card.

Apple SIM fixes all that. Only thing is, how do you get one? Will Apple give out free ones? I don't see why not.

The phones will come with a reprogrammable or multi carrier SIM card. How those get activated for a specific carrier is still up in the air and will likely be a pain in the ass.

The Apple SIM currently only works in the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 and not the iPhones. If you try to put it in an iPhone 6 you get an invalid sim notice. You can purchase one from an Apple Store for $4.99.
