Will Apple Recode for Penryn (Altivec Redux)

Are there any rumors on whether Apple will recode for the Penryn processors? I read on one of the übergeek sites that the new processors can enjoy massive speed boosts over the old processors given special coding? I remember all of the hype about the G4s.

Also, ANY chance whatsoever of titanium coming back for the next MBPs? That would totally make up for my very long wait.
