Greetings to you all my fellow Apple Computer Lovers!
It's my first Post here on the "Macrumors.com" forums and I begin by inquiring about an hypothetical release of a new Apple Display in a near future.
I have been connected to Apple Computers for more than 10 years already, with my still alive MacBook Pro 15" (3,06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) 2009 model, and with a Apple Cinema Display that I used at home as a Desktop configuration.
However, and unfortunately for me the external monitor has ended its long working life yesterday, which makes me using and working on my Mac with a significant smaller working area.
I was already planning to replace my MacBook Pro with a recent one for a while, but I would never do so while my Apple Cinema Display would still work, in spite of the many difficulties it had on the connectivity in the last 2 years of its existence. Yesterday, however that brightness and sharpness on the image I loved so much has ended.
This event was the final trigger I needed to invest in a new machine, on its all, which means that I am finally prepared to buy a new computer from the Cupertino brand.
But this does not forcely mean that I am willing to buy any product however.
What I was looking for was in fact to have the same configuration I had until now (i.e. the most recent MacBook Pro with an official Apple Display), that could provide me the possibility of having a somehow hybrid configuration for all possible needs - Portability (Laptop configuration) and Confortable Working Environment (Desktop Configuration with the External Monitor for Design Proposes).
The big issue here nowadays is that the official Apple Monitor available for retail is only the High End Apple Pro Dispay XDR, and that is away from my budget capabilities...
I do know that there is still the LG 27" UltraFine 5K Display as a cheaper and reasonable alternative, but I would prefer to avoid products from other manufacturers for my new working machine. In plus, I do fancy the way Apple engineers focus on that aluminium finish on every Apple Display they produce. The LG partnership only provides a not so classy plastic finish, which does not meet my criteria of requirements.
What I am looking for is to invest in a completely new machine, from scratch, a new MacBook Pro with a Consumer-Level / Semi-Pro Display from Apple as well (with a maximum budget of $2000 for this monitor).
So basically, and to make things simple, my question is: Will Apple release a NEW Display for their consumers, that don't forcely need an High-End level of configuration like the Pro Display XDR, or will I be forced to invest in a machine with an External Monitor without the Apple logo?
I am willing to wait a while for this investment though.
Sorry for this long post, but I wanted to sound as much clear as I could, for obvious reasons.
In the meantime I wish all you guys a lovely day, be careful, protect yourselves and your loved ones from this horrible pandemic of COVID-19.
Yours faithfully,
Roronoa_Zoro
