Will Apple release IOS 8 with Yosemite during the iPhone 6 keynote?

I mean they work together so you would expect them to release both at the same time.

But they need to release hardware with Yosemite? So they will release an iPhone 6, iWatch, and some Macs?

Isn't that a little too much to believe?

They don't need to release new Mac hardware with Yosemite.

And no, they don't need to release them at the same time. Yosemite likely won't come til October.

IOS 8 will likely be released before the keynote. That's the way it had been done for quite a while. The iPhone will include the new OS.

The iWatch might be announced but it is unlikely any Macs will be introduced. It could very well be iPhone only.

iOS 7 released in September. Mavericks released in October.

The difference this year is that iOS 8 and Yosemite have a lot of features that depend on each other. iCloud doesn't work fully across Mavericks and iOS 8, or vice versa, at this point.

Im going to say ios8 released Sept 16th, a week after the iphone 6 announcement. Yosemite more than likely will be sometime in the middle of october.

It would certainly make sense for iOS 8 and Yosemite to be released at the same time, especially given the fact that they're tied in together with all the new features and the unlikelihood of new Mac hardware. Yosemite has equally as much to do with the iPhone as it does the iPad (not much, really), so why wait until October? Unless they think their servers couldn't handle all the downloading.

A lot of people buy iPhones and don't have a Mac. Yosemite and ios8 don't need to be released simultaneously.

It's been pretty much guaranteed that Yosemite will be coming later than iOS 8, as we're still getting developer previews for OS X. iOS 8 GM will be released for developers on the 9th, expect it publicly about a week afterwards
