Will apple repair a broken LCD?

Will apple replace a broken LCD screen. Nothing else is litterly wrong with the phone. I see a thing crack that looks like its the lcd. There is not glass broken on it. I'm just concerned. I talked to apple today and i'm getting a new one sent to me and then i'm sending the old one back. I'm just wondering if its covered?

Most likely they will not cover it since it is accidental damage and AppleCare does not cover accidental damage.

When my wife broke hers she was told that they would repair it for about $200 (she had it less than a week). The genius said that the screen was only covered if it was delivered broken. You might get different results though.

How can they do that tho. Like my lcd i think it broke. but i have no glass breakage like. Doesn't make sense to me i have the white screen with lines on it. And i think i see a crack. But there is not glass breakage.
