The white charging cable I got with my iPad 2 has got a small split in the plastic near the 30 pin connector end. If the reinforced section had been just a bit longer it might not have happened. So anyways, I got the iPad 2 at launch, so are the cables covered with the same year warranty? Can I simple go into and Apple store and get it swapped out?

yes they will. All I did was bring in the most recent ipod, ipad, or iphone I had so if there was a question they could reference the serial number to ensure it was within the 1 year warranty.

Thanks. That's exactly that I was hoping.
