So I'm sending my macbook pro 16" back to apple under warranty.

I've had problems with the bottom plate being loose and the computer is making weird cracking noises whenever I pick it up.

What can I expect apple to do about this? Will they give me a refurbished unit, or just see whats wrong with this one and fix it?

Assuming they will wipe the storage if they repair (which they will) would you be able to tell the difference between the two options?
