I don't think I've seen this question asked before, but has anyone tried bringing their own MBP to the Apple Store and directly connect it to the monitors at the store on display, to try them out? I would like to connect the Studio Display to my MBP to see what it actually looks like when using Word or Powerpoint with my own documents, etc., and compare it with the 32" Pro Display.

Yes they will, or at least I've had luck with such things. If they have the monitor there and you have one of the store geniuses help you out. They'll let you connect your MBP so you can see how your desired software looks/performs on the display. It usually helps to go in when they're not as busy. I suppose it depends on the Store location and who you work with...

I'm going to guess that is going to be very store-by-store dependant and the best way to know is to call the local stores in your area and ask.

I’ve found Apple stores to be really helpful, and so long as they’re not super busy, can’t imagine that they won’t let you do this. Check Google Maps (I realize the irony) to see what days and times are typically the least busy.
