Will applecare cover this?

I have a couple year old MBP with applecare on it, and the finish has come completely off the latch button. it is now almost black. will apple cover this or just say "wear and tear"?

I think they'll say it is cosmetic, which will not hinder performance. I have nothing to back up my previous statement though.

Why don't you call and ask them? 1-800-275-2273 They will give you the answer... We are not applecare how do we know....

Find an Apple Certified repair shop nearby, show them what's wrong, and ask them if they'll order you the part. They can often get AppleCare to cover it by claiming that the latch is broken, bent, etc.
