There are some apps like settings, youtube and maps on my ipod 4G touch. I want to transfer an app from itunes to the ipod. Will I lose all the apps on the ipod when I click on sync apps?

I'm very confused. Can you repeat it in a different way?

If I understand you right, just drag the app you want from the "Apps" tab on the left of iTunes to your device (must be connected) and it will install it. Nothing will be lost.

If you purchased the App with your account, you can just download it on your iPod from the App on your iPod. Go to the App store on your iPod and download it from there.

If you connect your iPod to your PC, iTunes will ask if you would like to sync. You will need to sync it to completely transfer the App. It may backup the Apps on your iPod which will attempt to sync apps on your computer and ipod.
