I have 200+ apps in my iTunes library (these are files stored locally on my rMBP's SSD) and I have spent the night weeding through old ones or ones that I've deleted from my phone and therefore don't need to have taking up space on my MacBook. Then I came across a question – I have Apple's iWork apps (Pages, Keynote, Numbers) on my iPhone but just deleted them from my iTunes library on my MacBook (saved 1.5 GB, too). The apps are still present on my iPhone, even after syncing.

Now my question – if I get a new phone and restore from a backup of my current phone, will iTunes just tell the phone to download those apps onto the new device or will they not transfer over at all because there is no corresponding IPA file in iTunes?

Hopefully this was clear enough.
