will AT&T do a Cross-Upgrade to a different account?

if I decided i don't like my un-activated/never used/never powered 6+ and a friend ordered the same (still in processing through Apple.com)

Can I just have friend cancel and order the 6 and swap when it arrives? Will AT&T allow that or will it raise a flag?

Two different questions you asked:

Will AT&T let you do cross upgrades across different accounts? No.

But can you do what you say? Sure. Keep your 6+, have him cancel his 6+ order and order 6, both of you activate them on your original accounts, and then just swap the sims. AT&T won't care.
