Will AT&T know I'm tethering?

I'm using MyWi to set up a personal hotspot.
But on my iPad, the connection made has the apple personal hotspot icon.
If I connect using this, will AT&T think I'm using native hotspot and charge me?

It doesn't matter what you are using. Carriers can know. Will they charge you? Maybe; maybe not.
