Will AT&T unlocked phone work in India

Hi,
I am from india.i have seen some good deals in ebay about iphone 4s at&t unlcoked which are cheaper than that which are factory unlcked.
Now, will it work in india. Will it work directly after i buy it or should i do anything like jailbreaking stuff. Ad can anyone suggest any good place to buy iphone 4s for a good price around 250$ used.

If it is an unlocked phone, it will work in India . You will not have to jailbreak.

I have an iPhone 4S and have been to India several times. The phone works there. I haven't tried a local SIM, but if the phone you get is unlocked, you should not have any problems. Just make sure the phone is truly unlocked.

Why wouldn't it?
An unlocked iphone will work on any GSM network at any country.
