Hey, my roommate is getting rid of his ATI Sapphire X1950 Pro graphics card and I'm wondering if this will work on my PowerMac G4 (Mirror Drive, Dual 867mhz, 2gb ram, OS 10.5.6)? I know there are X1950s that worked on Macs but I can't find out if it was a Mac-specific model or if they all did.

Thanks in advance!

If the X1950 came out of a PC, it may require flashing to make it work in a G4. If the x1950 is a PCI-Express card, it will not work. If it is AGP or PCI, then it may. I recommend a Google, but since (I think?) the X1950 came out after the G4's time, the AGP version may not work. The main thing is, PCI or PCI-E? Wish there was some sort of compatibility, but one is parallel and one is serial, respectively.

I ended up borrowing it and just trying to put it in (since i found a driver for it online), but sadly it won't fit. That would probably be the PCI-E/PCI thing you're talking about. Thanks for the help.
