If I'm looking to buy a rMBP in May or June, my plan is to get refurb to save $$. Given that idea, this is the newest machine I would be able to get, correct? So if I'm looking to spend about $1500 on a rMBP, I am guessing a newer model would be more than that? And not avail for refurb? Am I assuming correctly?

Why not get a refurb now instead of waiting for June? New MacBooks may not even come in June at all.

Also, I'm not sure I understand your question. You're asking if for 1500 you'll get less in a new model than in a refurb? I guess that's true, but in all honesty for 1500 dollars I would get the current midrange rMBP 13" and be very happy with it for the next couple of years.
