Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with using a Blue Yeti Pro on a retina MacBook Pro.

Blue Microphone's web site is pretty vague about USB 3.0 compatibility:

Unfortunately, the USB 3.0 standard is not yet compatible with high resolution USB audio devices like the Yeti Pro. However, most systems with USB 3.0 ports will also have some ports that are USB 2.0 or backwards compatible. Try using the Yeti Pro on these ports for best results.

Aren't all USB 3.0 ports backwards compatible with USB 2.0 devices? The retina MBP only has USB 3.0 ports. The Blue Microphone FAQ leaves me wondering if the Blue Yeti Pro will work with it.

Thanks ;)

The two USB ports on the rMBP are USB2/3 hybrids. Your Yeti should work just fine. :D

I have a Blue Yeti (Standard not Pro) and it works fine on the rMBP, so you should have no problems with the Pro version either.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. I just got the normal Yeti the other day and man is it great!!
