I've got a 13" Macbook Pro 2010 version, with a Speck See-thru hard-shell case.

Has this particular case caused any problems with heat dissipation? I don't really want to go without something to protect all that beautiful aluminum, but... If its bad for the machine, I'll take it off.

Thanks for any thoughts/experience!

Nah, I have the same case on my 13" since I got it, and it doesn't cause any heat problems. I checked the temps using iStat with the case on and off, and there is not much difference, if any. So you are good to go.

Awesome, thanks for the response. I won't worry about it, then.

heat is vented through the hinge ... the case will cause zero heat issues

Ah, I wasn't sure where heat was vented through, and I had heard that some cases caused problems. I guess this one isn't included in that category! :D
