I'm curious if the 1st gen Apple TV 4K will go on sale once the 2nd gen 4K model is released, or will it continue to sell at the same price until they're sold out? As far as I can tell, there's nothing I really need with the 2nd gen 4K model. I'm probably in the minority here, but I've never had a problem using the old remote when visiting a friend who has one. Even the previous remote looks more modern to me than the new one. (I'd probably be using my Samsung One Remote to control it anyway, as I can currently do with my really old 3rd Gen Apple TV.)

I'm guessing Apple will probably drop the price by $15 to $25 but that's about it.

I'm in Canada and the original Apple TV 4k and Apple TV HD with the old remote are no longer for sale on the Canada and USA Apple website.
