Hello

So I am just thinking about how will the Face ID in the new iPhone X really work. I am wondering if we will have difficulties reading the notifications on the home screen properly or the phone will open directly just when it's facing us?

Since the touch ID was released, I had to get used not to wake up my phone with the home button with the tip of my thumb, rather I would use the joint of my thumb or the side button because the phone was easily getting unlocked.

So what do you think guys? is Apple aware of this? or we will have to read the from far notifications while the phone is facing the roof just not to unlock it?

They're aware.

When you Pick the phone up the screen turn on, showing any notifications in a discreet mode (you know you have notifications, just can't read them).

Then FaceID does it thing, and makes the notifications readable.

Then swipe up to get to your home screen.

Nope. Touch or raise to wake, view notifications, put phone down. Or touch or raise to wake, view notifications, swipe up to go home screen. Very simple, thread closed.
