If you were on the Facebook Fan Page, you would see that they have delivered their Push Enabled App to Apple, and are just awaiting approval. This approval process, just take forever.

You must be looking at a face page then, they aren't planning Push until Facebook 3.1, 3.0 will not have push and I have seen no updates from the developer saying he has submitted the app to Apple, the last update from 5 days ago was that there was no update.

Yes. If you search for Facebook and push, you'd see a few threads on it, including some quoting the guy who makes the app.

don't be daft, it's much easier to start a brand new thread than it is to type the thread title into the search bar :)

I would personally rather the developers focus on getting the app to work properly before they work on figuring out Push. It pisses me off when I type out a reply, hit Post, and it tells me an error occurred. I have to cancel out and close the app, then try again. Or, I see that a friend has 3 replies to a status they posted, I click the icon to read the replies, and nothing shows up. If I close, then reload once again, i can see the all again.

Ya, or when someone comments on a photo, and you click on that notification, the app takes you to the person's profile page instead of the pic

Does anyone know why 4 people I know
of with iPhones have a badge on their
Facebook App? I don't have this. I have
reinstalled it a few times, but still
don't have it. I heard it's only for
messages in inbox. It also never
posted to my page that I installed
application for iPhone, like I see
when someone else does

Yup, sadly the Facebook app lacks much more than the push notification "issue" and hopefully Facebook is spending some time working these issues out rather than counting their advertising revenue....:eek::eek:

They are based on venture capitalists to be fair.

I don't know about the posting to your page, but my badge number changes when the number of unread messages I have changes. But you have to have closed the app with the messages unread for the badge to show up. It doesn't push the badge changes (yet).

Did you read some of the reply's to your own thread? Maybe you should start a new one to see if you get different answers.
