i have an external firewire 400 case with two 250GB drives. they are striped using os x software raid.

if i wipe my system disk, and reinstall os x, will my raid array stay intact?

if not, any good solutions/workarounds?

thanks!

bump

anyone have any idea about this?

i'll try to simplify it even more...

i've got two hard drives in an external firewire case and they are configured in a raid 0 array using the os x software raid

can i hook that case up to another mac running os x and access the array?

i guess, is there info built into the drives themselves that tell os x that they're in an array? so the array is portable from one machine to another?

i wish i still had a second mac to test this with. sorry if this is a stupid question...thanks
