D danskyad macrumors newbie Original poster Apr 12, 2005 2 0 Apr 12, 2005 #1 i have an external firewire 400 case with two 250GB drives. they are striped using os x software raid. if i wipe my system disk, and reinstall os x, will my raid array stay intact? if not, any good solutions/workarounds? thanks!

D danskyad macrumors newbie Original poster Apr 12, 2005 2 0 Apr 15, 2005 #2 bump anyone have any idea about this? i'll try to simplify it even more... i've got two hard drives in an external firewire case and they are configured in a raid 0 array using the os x software raid can i hook that case up to another mac running os x and access the array? i guess, is there info built into the drives themselves that tell os x that they're in an array? so the array is portable from one machine to another? i wish i still had a second mac to test this with. sorry if this is a stupid question...thanks
