Hello
I’ve got an IPhone 7Plus that I bought about 2 years ago.
At the beginning a full battery would last about 8-10 hours of internet/mail/talk time.

6 months ago, I still hadn’t made any upgrade and a full battery would last about 5-7 hours of internet use, but the iPhone seemed to be slower than it used to be. I was against the idea, but one day I upgraded it to iOS12. It was the worst idea ever! It went from 5-7 hours of use to 2-3 hours if I’m lucky!

I’ve considered replacing the battery but it says it’s full capacity is still 86% (when it clearly doesn’t last 86% of the time it used to) and the problem seems to be the upgrade! I was quite happy with my 5-7 hours per day. But 2-3 hours!!

Is there any hope replacing the battery will put things back to normal? Or is it true that Apple desperately wants us to get a new iPhone every year? That’s what it looks like to me.

86% is near end of life. The percent capacity isn’t linear. Get it replaced.
