Are there any users currently using the iOS5 beta and the gevey SIM? I guess if that works, then the final build will have no issues?

I just started using the Gevey SIM after moving to London a few weeks ago with my AT&T locked phone.

Really excited for iOS5 coming out in a few weeks, hoping I will be able to use it right off the bat!

:D

Maybe the Dev Team will update PwnageTool and that'll allow you to update while saving your baseband (that is if iOS 5 is compatible with the older baseband).

We'll have to wait and see what the Dev Team does.

That's what I was thinking.
Using maybe Pwnage or Tinyumbrella you can maintain your older baseband gevey might still work with 5.0 but we wont know for sure for a while.

Because vanilla iOS 5 will bring a lot of changes that will make a lot of us happy with the phone without the need to jailbreak.

I wonder what all these "unlocking" shops around here in the UK will do.

I walked into a couple this past week asking if they could unlock my iPhone and they are like yes of course and go grab a gevey SIM off the wall.. for £40.

I'm like yeah no thanks bro I'm already using one! hahaha

But when iOS5 drops they are all gonna be screwed :p

As far as we know the Gevey is not compatible with iOS 5 but the Dev Team is always full of surprises so who knows. :) I can't see them supporting the Gevey though.
