Will Gevey Sim work with the new iPhone 4S?

Today I bought the iPhone 4S from my local O2 store (they were the only ones that had it left!) but I am on the 3 network. I tried to use my 3 sim on the phone but it said Invalid SIM so I guess the phone is locked to O2.
Would the Gevey work on the iPhone 4S? Or are there any other ways to unlock?

I actually tried a gevey sim on my phone on release date did not work, but does still work on my ios 5 iphone 4 though
