If you were to set up your iTouch to have a gmail account, will you be able to receive calls if your iTouch is connected to wifi?

My understanding is yes and this would be done with safari
I'm just wondering if you would be able to install the plugin to use google call

With google providing free calls anywhere in US or Canada, this would be a great way to turn an itouch into a cell phone which would be no cost monthly or any charge.

Specially if you're a college student and your college has most of the town covered by the college's internet. (Which is my situation)

Also with Google Call you can setup your own number and it has voice mail for when you might not be within internet.

In theory it makes sense but it would be cool to know what you all think
