I'm looking to get the new 2010 Mac Pros when they finally arrive on Monday, but I'm hoping to sell the stock RAM included to OWC for a rebate on their RAM.

If I do this and find that I need to bring in my Mac Pro to Apple for any reason whatsoever, will they refuse to take care of me since my machine uses 100% 3rd party memory?

I hope this isn't the case as I really want to bump down the price of 3rd party memory when the time comes, and it's just a waste to have unused memory lying around.

No, they just will deny service if your problem is RAM related.

No, Apple won't care. Feel free to sell your memory to OWC (or eBay, you'll probably get a better price there.
