will hengedock fit 11" air with speck case?

I'm thinking of getting the hengedock for my 11" air. i currently use it with a speck seethru satin case.

Will it fit in the hengedock? I obviously don't want to spend the money on the dock if the air isn't going to fit.

It said on the FAQ here:

Thin, stick-on "skins" will usually fit, however cases interfere with the docking setup since Henge Docks rely on a very precise fit to make all of the connections reliably."

And my friend has the same speck case and bought the henge dock.
It did not work.
