Will I be able to find a used MBP for around $1,000?

In the next month or so, I will be keeping my eye out for a MBP. I am fine with an older, used one, but I want it in good shape, as I am anal about my laptops. Will it be possible to find one for about $1,000?

yes easily
over here the used mb's tend to go for sub 1000 figures least expensive i saw was 650 most expensive 900

a pro however might be more difficult
you really want that bigger screen and dedicated vid card ?

Yeah I do.

I also love the casing and backlit keyboard. Those are huge selling points to me!

I've seen some of the earlier MBP models, 1.83 Core Duo's, go for a little over $1000 here before, but they don't pop up too often. But the new macbooks (for everything but gaming) will blow a CD MBP away. But if the looks of it are that important to you, then go for it!

i was fortunate to find one my friend was selling for $1000. u can see it in my sig. the only thing i added to that was 1gb ram and 10.5

I just sold my rev.2 to some lucky guy for 1450 (1400 after ebay ra..err..fees)

10.5, apple care and 4 gigs of ram.

I dented it tho (resell value fell along with the MBP)
