Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

I dont want to restore, then update then jailbreak again but i want the new features. Will they be availible through cydia? In particular imessenger.

As far as I know most of them are already available through Cydia in one form or another, but I don't think iMessages will be available. Just update, it's the easiest way.

if you mean the exact feature that Apple puts on the phone then no... But there are many developers on Cydia who make apps, tools and widgets that do the same thing and sometimes much better. Some things are integrated into the OS as if Apple had implemented it themselves and some things are done via seperate apps.

You can wait for iOS 5 to officially release and then untether jailbreak.

Isn't this what most people are going to do?

1.Pkgbackup all your cydia stuff
2.wait for ios 5 release
3.put it all back on the phone :)
